I built Snittet because I needed my own grade average when applying for a master's, and working it out by hand was tedious and error-prone. I showed it to the students I was mentoring, they asked for access, so I polished it and released it to everyone.
It pulls official course and grade statistics from DBH, so you search for a course code or name instead of typing in credit weights yourself, pick your grade, and get your average immediately. It has since grown past NTNU to cover universities and colleges across Norway.
Other platforms showed either course grades or exam statistics. Snittet combines them, so you see how a course grades on average while it computes your personal result.
